How Much Is Too Much Information For Your Website

It’s no longer a novelty for someone to have a website. From Wall Street tycoons to the local donut shop, having a presence on the web has become as commonplace as a phone book listing.

So while everyone can get their message out on the web, you want to make sure what message you are sending. Unfortunately, the surest way to cloud that message is not by having it worded incorrectly (although that’s not good either). It’s by having your message cluttered on a website that has too much information or just too much in general going on. Whether it is too much text, or text poorly placed, or too many buttons or graphic items, websites that from first glance offend that eye, rather that draw to it, will become sites that get visited once (and that don’t get recommended).

And the saddest part of this is that there’s no reason for it. There are scores of talented web design professionals that can assist you with putting a site in place that is appealing and functional. Also, there are cleanly constructed webpage templates available that will help you get a clear message out instead of having your message get lost.
