Getting to know you, our client
In the first phase, we try to learn as much as we can about you, our client. This is vital to accomplishing our main agenda, which is to design and build a unique website that caters to our clients’ needs.
These are the basic questions that we ask our clients
Research
Research is everything in the web industry and that is no exception here at Digital Ink. We try to learn as much as we can about our clients and their respective market.
If a dynamic website is needed, the client and Digital Ink will collaborate to come up with business rules. Once the business rules are made, Digital Ink will create a database using referential integrity. We use referential integrity to make sure that the database will meet the clients needs.
Research is a gateway to an effective web design.
Designing the layout
Once we get a clear idea on what the clients want, we design a layout. Designing the layout is applied in various graphic and web design softwares. We will design 3 different variations of a layout based on 1 design, then the client approves the layout before we move on to the next phase.
Building the database
Once diagrams and the required tables are considered, it is time to build the database. Using SQL, the database will be built and be placed on a server so it can be accessed on the web. Dummy data will be entered into the database to make sure it is working properly.
Building the website
This is where we incorporate the approved layout in to the coding of the website, and it is the longest and final step of the building process. The site will be coded by hand and embedded into the layout, and, if needed, the database will be connected to the site and perform customized queries to fit the clients needs.
Site going live
Once the design is and coding is finished, the site will be uploaded to a beta server. In the beta server, the layout will be tested on all the web browsers for PC’s and Mac’s. Queries will be run using the site to make sure everything on the database is working properly. When the tests are done, the site will go live to the public, and the site will be up on the clients’ domain name.
